segments of an interview John Eldridge and I did with Michael Cusick, Michael heads up a ministry restoring

the soul, find out more about his ministry and what they're up to at Restoring the Soul.com.

And the course of the interview just seemed to John and I

that, wow, Michael's gonna to post this and we'd love to just share this interview

with some of our allies and friends as well.

So this is the third topic we covered in this four-part interview.

This topic is on the Christian life is a battle.

It's a war.

We have an enemy, yet so many of us live as though we have none.

John, I heard you give a message at the National Pastors Convention.

I think it was in 07 and you talked to a group of Christian leaders and somewhere in your talk you made the statement that we know we have an enemy but we don't live as if we do.

Tell me about that.

Well how many how many pastors do you know, let alone normal lay people that pray,

pray, out loud as Jesus stayed in the wilderness directly against the enemy on a regular basis.

Like it's just a normal part of their life.

My experience has been very few.
