the walls. Today on Truth For Life, we'll see what it took for him to effectively confront

the internal threat and to do it without condemnation.

Alistair Begg is teaching from the opening verses of Nehemiah chapter 5.

0:50.5

How did Nehemiah deal with the problem? How was the problem solved? Well, verse 6 tells us

0:56.0

his immediate reaction is he was really angry. I was really angry if you want a subdiple

1:01.4

call it righteous indignation. Righteous indignation is followed by careful contemplation.

1:07.9

Verse 7, I pondered them in my mind. Pondered what? What is them refer to? Them refers to the

then you can't go around accusing people. Well, you should make it the hallmark of your life,

1:59.9

but there will be times when you must, unless you're just a coward, unless you just want to do

2:05.8

what everybody else does and that is dealing the realm of political innuendo and maneuverings and

2:11.9

sand little signals here and there and round and about in the hope that George who is over in the

2:16.6

far left hand corner will get the signal as a result of having passed it down through section 1,

2:21.5

2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 because you don't have the guts to go to section 6 yourself and say, hey, George,

2:27.3

you have a big problem, son. Think how much confusion is caused in the work of the people of God

2:32.8

because the people of God are unprepared to respond and righteous indignation, careful contemplation
