I'm Carly Weizel and as you can tell, I am taking this week off of the podcast.

I love bringing you very amusing, but the reason for taking a short little break this week

is twofold.

First off, this has been a garbage entry into October.

On top of all theme park employees across the parks who have been furloughed and laid

off in 2020 already, 28,000 cast members, Disney employees are losing their jobs.

It is absolutely awful.

If you are like me, your Twitter feed is just a heart-wrenching nightmare, just filled

with stories of how much these cast members enjoy their jobs and love to bring magic

to guests in the park and beyond.

These parks really are the employees.

That's the Disney difference.

It's the way someone death steers at you within the haunted mansion or loads you onto

Tower of Terror.

Or make sure that Mickey Mouse knows it's your birthday.

The fact that the people who design and create and build and occupy these dream-like spaces

are facing such hardship is absolutely heartbreaking.

It's going to take a really, really long time to come back from this and I'm so extremely

sorry to everyone who has been affected.
