In the middle of an ugly battle, opposing sides often agree to a ceasefire. In legal

battles, they call it a cooling off period. For a season, they agree to suspend

Scripture reading today is from Revelation Chapter 7. You'll notice as we work

our way through the book of the revelation how many songs find their origin from the

biblical text of revelation. They just seem to come out sort of emerge unexpectedly as we work our way through the book.

Revelation 7 verse 1.

After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the

earth so that no wind would blow on the earth or on the sea or on any tree.

And I saw another angel ascending from the rising of the sun,

having the seal of the living God.

And he cried out with a loud voice

to the four angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea,

saying do not harm the earth or the sea or the trees until we have sealed the bond servants

of our God on their forests and I heard the number of those who were

sealed 144,000 sealed from every tribe of the sons of Israel.

And then the tribes are listed in verses 5 through 8.
