And Renee Miller, we're going to talk through the franchise league football format.

We're going to talk through the intricacies and the nuances, which I think make it a fantastic

platform for playing fantasy football in 2025. So Renee, as we kick off with the pleasantries,

welcome in to the show. How are you doing as we record here on Monday, the 4th of August?

I am doing really well. I'm really excited about this new venture. Some of your listeners,

hopefully some of your listeners remember I was a writer for rhodoviz way back in the day when I

first started writing about things like cognitive bias in

fantasy football and found my first home at rhodoviz so it's really a homecoming i'm welcome me back

yeah it's awesome to have you back and you mentioned you know the cognitive bias side of things for

people who may not be aware with your background i'll give you a chance in a moment to elaborate further, but you are the CEO of Franchise League football. You're also a neuroscientist,

which is very impressive. Do you only give the listeners a little bit of your background other than

formally and now currently again writing on Rodebos.com? Yeah. Sure. So I've been interested in both sports and the brain for a very long time.

Probably was interested in how the brain works first.

And especially in what goes wrong with the brain, like neurodegenerative diseases and

strokes, things like that.

So I studied neuroscience in college, got my PhD, and now I'm a professor,

teaching, raising a new generation of neuroscientists. But it wasn't until I was maybe 10 or so

years into my career that I realized the intersection between how does the brain work and how do we make decisions
