Summary

The US Women's Soccer Team actually sued over the pay gap between themselves and the US male team; this case was thrown out of court for the obvious reason that the men brought in vastly more revenue. Despite this setback, they brought enough political pressure to ensure that the women ended up receiving the same paychecks as the men. It's possible this lead them to believe they were as good as the men, because the US Women's team entered a smallish tournament against male players and the result, after three games, was Males 24, Females 1. For the past several years, especially since the last Olympic Games, we've been told that women don't make as much money as men, especially women in sports.

We're told that the WNBA players don't make as much as the men, and we're told that the women's national soccer team doesn't make as much as the men.

And the response to that has been, well, they don't bring in as many people as the men do.

They don't bring in the revenues, so they get paid a smaller percentage.

And the lawsuit that these women brought by Megan Rappahoe was thrown out of court because of that very reason.

However, it turned out that the people that end up paying soccer stars, and I don't know who they are, but I don't care either, decided to pay the women exactly the same as the men, and they're just going to eat the difference.

I'm Bill Little with Steve Green and Scott Ott, and so today we have a little bit of evidence, finally,

a little bit of a metric in this ongoing mass psychosis of a belief that women and men are perfectly equal in every way,

especially in the athletic field, because the women's national team, in order to prove that they

were worthy of the same salary as men, entered a soccer competition.

These were not against, this cannot be stated strongly enough.

This was not against professional teams.

This was against friendly leagues.

And so they played three games.

The first game that they played, the men beat them five to one.

I'm sorry, correction, five to nothing.

But, you know, five to nothing in soccer, that's a landslide.

In the second game against an all-men team, the men beat them 12 to nothing.

And then in the third game, where the team consisted of men and women, the opponents of

the U.S. national soccer team, the American women's team lost seven to one.
