Well, I mean, I'm not actually laughing because obviously that would be wrong.

But there is some kind of comedy humour to this disaster that we seem to find ourselves in.

I'm not like the others, though.

However, I'm not going to go around saying, it's all the fault of the Tories. They don't know what they're doing. This trust is no good.

She needs to be kicked out of office. She's only been in 24 days. But already she needs to go,

no, that's not for me. What we're going to do this morning at the Home of Common Sense is,

is of course, to analyse, to work out what it is that has gone wrong, to work out what it is that we need to do to make it better,

and to stop catastrophizing absolutely everything that happens.

You know, if you can't get a mortgage, that might be a good thing,

because maybe it's not a good time to get a mortgage.

Maybe this is not a good time to buy a house.

In fact, if you wait six months, you might be able to get the house for about 50,000 pounds cheaper. Because there's going to be a correction, and that's what we call it in the financial business, a correction in the housing market.

Property prices have been going through the roof for far too long.

Maybe they need to be cheaper.

Maybe people need to be able to buy a house without having to mortgage their future, without having to sell their children, without having to make sure that they can't do anything else for the next 10 years while they're paying off the interest.

Perhaps interest rates going up won't be a bad thing. Perhaps people will learn that they have to live slightly more within their means.

Meanwhile, of course, Quasiquartang and the new Prime Minister Liz Trust are trying visibly to assure people that listen to BBC

local radio. I don't know why they're trying to convince them about anything really,

because people who listen to BBC local radio are not worth convincing about anything.

Most of them have already got flats and houses, most of them have already paid off their mortgages.
