So we turn this morning to the third and final prediction which Mark gives us of the passion

You remember on the first occasion, we looked at it back in chapter 8 and verse 31, Jesus

explained what was going to happen in Jerusalem and that was responded to by what we refer to

as an ill-conceived rebuke, Peter sought to rebuke Jesus at that point.

Jesus returns to the same issue recorded for us in chapter 9 and we find that the disciples

in response to Jesus' instruction on that occasion respond with what we refer to as an ill-advised
