In this episode we're going to delve back into the Out of Doors Archives to a train journey we took back in 2017 when you and I took the train from Inverness to Canada La Calh over on the west coast. Now, it is a truly beautiful part of the world. There's heaps of interest along the way.

And it all begins one morning in Inverness Railway Station.

Effectively, this is the portal, the starting point for an adventure we're taking on this edition of Outer Doors.

Yeah, we're going to Kyle.

How exciting is that? 80-od miles away.

One of the iconic rail journeys in Scotland, I've never done it.

No, neither have I.

And it's hugely up there on the tick list.

And we're just going to have such an adventure on the way.

Well, essentially, it is 82 miles, all the way from the North Sea to the Atlantic.

It goes through, I goes through quintessential Scotland you're talking about sea locks

fresh water locks mountains

really pretty villages and things like that

...
