A federal judge has temporarily blocked the Trump administration from carrying out indiscriminate ice sweeps in the Los Angeles area.

In her order, the district court judge wrote that roving patrols without reasonable suspicion

violate the Fourth Amendment and denying detainees access to lawyers violates the Fifth Amendment.

The judge added that there is a mountain of evidence that ICE agents have been arresting people

based solely on race, accent, or the work that they're doing, directly violating constitutional principles.

Yet, she wrote, quote, the federal government would have this court believe in the face of a

mountain of evidence presented in this case that none of this is actually happening.

The ruling came just hours after President Trump's borders are, Tom Holman, told Fox News that ICE officers don't need probable

cause to question or detain civilians. They can just do it based on their physical appearance,

end quote, based on their physical appearance, which if you know, even the basics of American law

is flatly wrong. And if the person in charge of immigration

enforcement doesn't know that or worse doesn't care, we are in very serious trouble. All of this

contributes to growing fears that ICE is no longer just an immigration agency, but is being turned

into a kind of secret police to do the Trump administration's bidding. Under Trump's reconciliation bill signed on July 4th, ISIS set to surpass the FBI in size and power

with a budget larger than some national militaries.

It will become America's largest domestic police force running its own network of detention

centers, staffed by tens of

thousands of agents, hired quickly with far less training and oversight than traditional federal

officers. There's a method to all of this. They're trying. It's proving rather challenging

to bend the FBI to one man's will, and turning the military inward on civilians would face
