Summary

Have you ever found yourself looking through old photos or videos and feeling nostalgic about the way you used to look? Feeling sad - or perhaps mourning the loss of - the way you once looked? I found myself feeling this way recently, and it prompted me to dig a little deeper. What was it about my appearance changing that made me so uncomfortable? Had it even changed that much or am I just hyper critical of myself and the way I look? If I feel this way now, will I feel this way again in the future? How do I prevent myself from resenting the inevitable (aging, growing, physical and mental change)? Well, that's what today's podcast is all about; I hope you enjoy. Please rate and review if you did :)

of a generalisation, but a lot of the time, I feel like the reason I record these podcasts is because

0:48.5

I've just come full circle with a thought or just finished struggling with something and I've gotten mentally on top of it,

0:59.1

even if like temporarily, but just mentally on top of it. And I want to share how I got to that

1:05.6

point. It's not always like, oh, you know, I've just been observing people for years and I've come to this conclusion.

1:14.7

A lot of the time, I think I heard that about authors.

1:17.6

Like, a lot of the time authors write books that they need to take advice from themselves

or they write books for themselves.

I don't know.

1:25.3

Something like that anyway.

1:26.2

But this is one of those.

So it was yesterday, I believe, that Reese and I...

This is like... I'll tell you the story, like the lead-up to this particular situation.

But Reese and I were shopping for dinner, and we couldn't decide between a little like summary

salad that we love or this pesto summary salad with pasta that we used to eat and loved.

1:54.4

And we couldn't remember the brand of vegan pesto that we used.

1:58.8

So I thought to myself, oh, no, and also the vegan parmesan,
