Reach Out: Please include your email and I will get back to you. Thanks! Has anyone ever told you that evangelism is important? I would imagine you've heard it 100 times. We preachers talk about how God has called us to spread the Word in all circumstances. We talk about whole churches being active in teaching Jesus to others. And yet, many churches, and many individuals, just haven't gotten the hang of it. Not that it is absent altogether. We each and all have our shining moments, and maybe...

Welcome back today. As you can tell from the title, there are two ideas that I would like to explore with you for the next 20 minutes. The first one is

0:56.1

evangelism, and we will be looking at that in its simplest form, sharing the gospel of Jesus

1:03.0

with people who need him in their lives. Now, I want you to notice early on, I'm not saying

1:09.9

evangelism is the number of people who are converted.

1:14.2

That's all about that person's heart and the workings of God in their life, but I am talking about you and I putting the truth in front of people in a clear way wherein they can choose Christ if that is their desire. So I'm pushing

1:31.0

1:54.9

2:02.3

normal assembling, we can start having these conversations again about our culture. Who are we as a

2:11.1

local church? What are we known for in this community? And if someone came to join our local work, what would they instantly and instinctively

2:24.3

notice would be asked of them?

2:28.0

I think it would be amazing if the seeking of lost souls was the centerpiece of our culture. And today I want to talk to you

2:39.6

about some things that I've learned over the years from wonderful churches and great personal

2:45.3

workers and share some of what is working in my own life and also what has been working well for this Lendale

2:52.7

Church where I have now been for six years. This episode is not designed to be a sermon. There are
