Hello pod, I'm Chris Huett and welcome to this very special edition of the Empire podcast.

Rob Savage's host to the 56 Minute Horror Film about a group of friends who do his

sayons over Zoom and then live or more accurately don't live to regret it when a demon shows

up and starts messing around with her settings is one of the very best movies of the year

and is one of the scariest horror films in years. None of that elevated horror nonsense here,

this thing is out to grab you by the throat and scream in your face and after playing

on shutter since it launched in the summer, its success has now been measured by a UK cinema

release, yes it opened on Friday across the country a remarkable achievement for a low budget

in the horror. Much of its success has been down to the fantastic performances from its cast

of unknowns, Haley Bishop, Cema Moore, Rodina Drandova, Caroline Ward, Emily Louise Webb,

and Edward Teddy Leonard, all real life friends whose chemistry and comfort with each other

makes us like and root for them before they get the display chops under extreme duress as Jack

the Demon for that is his name, starts picking him off one by one. They all deserve frankly one heck

of a career bump from this and so to celebrate the film's cinematic release I jumped on the Zoom

with them a few weeks ago for a lengthy chat which was so much fun that I've decided to bring it

to you in full. Two quick things, the dread Zoom actually behaved for once but there are a

couple of short moments where the sound does drop out but hopefully you'll still get the gist.

Also there are no demon cameos that I know of anyway. Secondly this interview is better heard

after you've seen host it's not a spoiler special but we do discuss character fates and the end

of the movie as in the very end so yeah if you're new to host maybe don't listen to this in fact

it might be wise end to take an hour out of your time go see host either in cinemas or on

shutter and then come back and listen to this frankly I love to talk to the guys you can really feel
