0:09.7	Do I have a juicy story time for you today? Oh yes I do. And I'm excited to read it to you, my friends. Okay? It's called, it's the Aesop Fable of the
0:24.1	day and it's called the father and his sons. I like this. A father had a family of sons who
0:34.0	were perpetually quarreling among themselves. When he failed to heal their
0:38.6	disputes by his exhortations, he determined to give them a practical illustration of the
0:44.0	evils of disunion, and for this purpose he told them to bring him a bundle of sticks.
0:50.6	When they had done so, he placed the bundle of sticks in the hands of each of them in succession
0:56.6	and ordered them to break it into pieces.
1:00.4	They each tried with all their strength and were not able to do it.
1:05.2	He next separated the bundle of sticks and gave them sticks separately, one by one, and again put them in their hands,
1:14.7	on which they broke them easily. He then addressed them in these words, my sons, if you are of one
1:24.0	mind and unite to assist each other, you will be as this, uninjured by all the
1:30.5	attempts of your enemies. But if you're divided among yourselves, you'll be broken as easily as
1:37.3	these sticks. My friends, moral of this fable, unity gives strength. Division creates weakness. When the sticks
1:50.4	are bound together, it's hard to break them. Right? And what's true of one thing is true of
1:54.2	another thing. But once separated, they can break, they can snap easily. And likewise, when people, maybe families, teams,
2:05.3	I don't know, communities of all kinds, when we support one another, we are strong against
2:11.4	challenges. But when we separate, we quarrel, we divide, we become vulnerable. So I think about it this way. At work, if teammates
2:21.9	collaborate versus compete, projects thrive, business works, right? We all win. If siblings support
2:29.9	each other instead of fight, they feel stronger and safer. Sometimes I think about the Kardashians
2:34.2	in this respect. You know, one thing that you cannot say about them is the fact that they really
2:41.2	stand up for each other. They work together. They support each other. They do deals together.
