and today I'm chatting with Bonnie Griner.

Before I had the children I was newly married and newly away from home and I felt alone

in my life and as I quickly had baby after baby I felt overwhelmed and I could not find

an older woman to help me, to teach me, to give me tips to raise these younger children.

And so I basically found myself when I was 5 and I was supposed to be 9 months old.

I remember the exact day.

I went to bed and I was crying on my pillow.

My pillow was wet because I was thinking during that day I had spoken to each other

children, to the four boys, more like barking them.

Did you make your bed, did you brush your teeth, did you put your plate away?

But I remember specifically there were two of the four I had not even hugged or kissed.

And I determined that that was not the kind of life I wanted or the kind of day I wanted

and from that day on things changed.

Well, things sure did change for Bonnie.

She went on to have four more children so that's a grand total of eight children, five

boys, three girls.
