Summary

In the early morning hours of March 29, 2019, 21 year old Samantha Josephson stepped into a black Chevy Impala that she believed to be her Uber ride and disappeared. Josephson, a senior at the University of South Carolina, had just spent the night drinking with friends. Her body was discovered 15 hours later by turkey hunters on a rural dirt road 65 miles south east of Columbia in the town of New Zion. Samantha Josephson had maintained over 100 stab wounds to her body.
Nathaniel Rowland was arrested and charged with her murder hours later. On July 27th, 2021 a jury found the former FedEx worker guilty on all charges. Nathaniel Rowland was given a sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parol.
Josh Diaz of the YouTube channel 'The Lab" joins Roberta to discuss Nathaniel Rowland's trial, the avalanche of evidence against the killer and how Diaz's tragic past became the inspiration for "The Lab".
