Hey there. I'm so glad you stopped by for this podcast. We hope so. I'm gonna tell you something and I've probably shared this with you before but I have to literally talk to myself every day and have to make it a matter of prayer and something has happened just here recently to give me some relief in fact I think that I'm gonna go ahead and show it to you. Turn with me to Isaiah 51 because somebody in here can relate with what I'm about to say.

I wanna talk about fear for a second and then we're gonna look at jealousy and then through the course of today we're gonna see him together. Now notice that Saul kept a jealous eye and he was afraid this is where we're getting that partnership. It's all right here in our scriptures today.

Isaiah 51. I'm gonna be looking at about verse 12. I'll come to that in just a second and let me just give you a word of testimony.

Fear has been such a thing to me and particularly about my children because boy there's nothing like parenthood to to emphasize and grow anything you would have in seed form into an oak tree.

I mean it's gonna bring out whatever is in you parenting is ultimately gonna bring it out. Amen the best of us the worst of us it just it just feels a lot.

It says I even I am he who comforts you who are you that you fear mortal men the sons of men who are but grass that you forget the Lord your maker who stretched out the heavens and laid the foundations of the earth that you live in

in constant terror every day because of the wrath of the oppressor who has been on destruction this is the part that got me for where is the wrath of the oppressor.

He said Beth you know how often you have feared the wrath of the oppressor over your children and I'm just wondering can you show me where that's come to fruition.

And yes I mean my children have had challenges our family has had challenges and not talking about the basic realities of living in a world system where Satan is prince but I'm talking about can I honestly say

that I have ever seen the living out of some of the things I feared most regarding my children and the enemy's ability to get to them the answers no how about you.

He's go where is it exactly where is it I want you to list for me all that that it would be this important for you to give this much energy to surely it's a reality surely you've not just made it up.

So would you just name it for me name me all the times all these terrible things have happened.

Well okay verse 14 the cowering prisoners will soon be set free they will not die in their dungeon nor will they like for bread for I am the Lord your God who turns up the sea so that it's waves roar the Lord all

Lord Almighty is his name I have put my words in your mouth covered you with the shout of my hand I who set the heavens in place who lay the foundations of the earth and who say to Zion you are my people.

The part that got me more than anything as he said this who are you the fear man when your father is the maker of heaven and earth and so I say that constantly.

I mean every time it starts to rise up in me and I cannot tell you how it is quieted my fears because what I began to see if this speaks to you at all is that my fears were an insult to my God.

Can I say that again my fears were an insult to my God said if you ever found me not trustworthy ever I want you to make me a list that tell me all about the wrath of the oppressor.

How I let him devour you know he's let him only come against me enough to discipline that which in my life needed to go and I've said that to you and I've expressed that to you that you see somebody getting a sifting by Satan and I promise you that somebody that needs a sifting God does not allow the enemy to sift anybody that doesn't have something that needs sifting but the purpose is more to be sifted out and we go on in the power of the Holy Ghost stay man.

So I pray that will help somebody else he is the one who comforts us why would we fear and forget the Lord our maker who stretched out the heavens and laid the foundation the earth now going back with me let me see if we have somewhere else to turn yes Romans 13.

So we've looked for just a moment at the vain imagination of fear that boy does it go places it just gets bigger and bigger now we're going to see the jealousy does as well and the reason why I want to bring this up is you put fear and jealousy together and you've got yourself a toxin you've got yourself a cocktail for disaster right here.

Romans 13, 13 and 14 let us behave decently as in the daytime not in orgies and drunkenness not in sexual immorality and debauchery not in dissension and jealousy now there's our key word today not in dissension and jealousy rather clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the sinful nature do not think about how to gratify the desires of the devil.

I want you to see that statement in partnership with jealousy he's partnering it with all of those words but now I want you to partner it for our sake today just with jealousy and I want you to understand with me and you'll see this in your notes jealousy wants desperately to be gratified have you ever noticed that jealousy wants to do something everybody relate with me here let me let you write that down so that you can think this through with me.
