I'm Carol Walton, the Voice of Jewelry, and I'm delighted to be here at the David Gill Gallery in London with Mish Torkowski, who is visiting us from Palm Beach to take part in an exhibition called New Nature.

Mish is the American jeweller based in Palm Beach in Florida who has two passions which basically involve

creating beauty. He's a passionate gardener and his jewelry design aesthetic draws inspiration from nature.

He has a loyal international following who made pilgrimages to his beautiful Palm Beach

Atelier for his jewels classic with a twist, whimsy style with intricate details.

And nature is not just a source of shape and colour, but it, he has said, is the guiding philosophy for his life and work.

So, Meish, I've been to your atelier, and I know it is not only full of flowers inside and

out, but as you walk up to it in that glorious sunshine, there are flowers everywhere.

And did you recreate, did you create that garden

when you moved there? Yes, absolutely. The building, which as you know is a historic building,

designed by Addison Meisner. So we had a beautiful palette to begin with, a very open palette.

So he was an architect of that southern Florida style.

So he gave basically America the Mediterranean revival architectural style.

And that building he designed and it was the first apartment store in Palm Beach.
