Go with me, please, to the Book of John this evening.

Book of John, the 14th chapter.

We've been on this subject for a few weeks now, and I feel like we should continue.

We've been talking about an act of fear an act of fear we know about acting on faith

but we're talking about acting on fear in john the 14th, down about the 27th verse, Jesus said, peace I leave with you, my peace, I give to you.

Not as the world giveth, give I unto you.

Can we have peace in a troubled world?

We don't have to look for it in a bottle or a syringe,

or to snort it up our nose.

We don't have to look at it, try to get it through

amassing possessions, or through immorality

and sex with people.

Those things cannot give you peace.

They might distract you for a little while,

but when it's all said and done, you're still hollow on the inside.

And now you've got even more condemnation because you know what you were doing is wrong.

You can take drugs until you pass out, but that's not sleep.

That's a semi-comatose state.

The Bible said he gives his beloved sleep.

Oh, I'm so glad I'm saved.

I'm glad the Lord helped me to pursue the ministry instead of being an outlaw.

I'm not looking over my shoulder.
