Hey everyone, welcome back to the podcast. This week, I'm joined by Amit Goodka, founder of

0:07.2

Vamati Energy and co-founder of Bob, a company making energy simpler, cheaper and greener. So I've

0:14.1

really enjoyed this conversation with Amit. We start off by talking about renewable energy

0:18.9

and what that really means and what that will look like in the

0:22.3

future potentially on a global scale and how that will impact all of us. We also talk about

0:27.7

business and startup culture and the inevitable challenges of starting a company and scaling

0:33.8

and working with people and about having a big idea and purpose and profit

0:39.2

and actually how you need to focus on both in order to create a successful business. So if the last

0:45.2

18 months has taught us anything, it is that the future is unpredictable. None of us really

0:51.6

know what could happen in the next decade. But fortunately, we have people

0:55.8

like Amit, future thinkers, smart people who are working hard to potentially solve some of the

1:01.3

big problems that could come in the future. So I really hope you enjoy this episode as much as I did.

1:07.1

1:29.1

motivates them to get up out of bed each day. Personally, I am on a mission to encourage, motivate and

1:35.9

inspire so I hope that the Power Hour will help you to achieve your personal and professional goals.

1:45.5

Welcome back to the Power Hour podcast and welcome to today's guest, Amit, how are you doing?

1:50.7

Good, thanks. How are you, Jane? Yeah, I'm very well, thank you. Really looking forward to

1:55.2

this conversation. Firstly, I guess for any listeners of the show who might not be familiar with you, with the work that you do, could you tell us, I guess I'd love for you to kick off this episode and tell us about your journey so far what and why you do what you do?

2:11.6

Thanks, Adrian. Yeah, really good to be on the show. I'm my sort of journey to date.
