Summary

Michael Malice (“YOUR WELCOME”) invites comedian and impressionist, Ami Kozak, onto the show to talk about how he built his following in today’s social media world, the not-so-surprising lack of humility and self-reflection in the Democratic party, and whether we’ve passed peak-woke in terms of modern comedy.   x.com/amiKozak amikozak.com   Order THE WHITE PILL: http://whitepillbook.com/ Order THE ANARCHIST HANDBOOK: https://www.amzn.com/B095DVF8FJ Order THE NEW RIGHT: https://amzn.to/2IFFCCu Order DEAR READER: https://t.co/vZfTVkK6qf?amp=1   https://twitter.com/michaelmalice https://instagram.com/michaelmalice https://malice.locals.com https://youtube.com/michaelmaliceofficial   Intro song: "Out of Reach" by Legendary House Cats https://thelegendaryhousecats.bandcamp.com/   The newest episode of "YOUR WELCOME" releases on iTunes and YouTube every Wednesday! It's all like just too obvious at this point.

0:04.3

Like you can't get away with this stuff anymore.

0:06.4

I don't want to be. maybe you just get drunk and stay inside.

Good afternoon. Michael Malice here. Let that be a welcome for the next hour and for the next year.

0:40.3

I wanted to open the year with a fun episode. We have with this comedian Ami Kozak. I mean, I saw you on Timcast. You did an impression of Jordan Peterson, which I thought was absolutely epic. Jordan shared it. I saw it. I'm always

0:55.6

fast, and I saw a lot of your content. You do a lot of impressions, different people. I'm always

1:00.0

fascinated by people who do impressions well. This is a long history in American comedy, Frank Gorshin,

1:06.6

Rich Little, people like that. And the first question I just had for you, and I'm going to have you

1:11.7

do some of your favorite impressions in a minute, do you think this is something that can be taught,

1:16.7

or do you think this is some kind of autistic skill that you're born with, that your brain is somehow

1:21.2

picking up things that other people aren't? Well, first off, thanks for having me. Really great to be here.

1:26.7

I've been following for a long time as well. And you got a shout out in that episode too in the voice of Jordan Peterson. I think they were talking about one of the courses you had on Peterson Academy. I think if I'm being very honest, because I see a lot of sometimes TikToks and people trying to teach impressions and stuff. The truth is, as someone who's learned

1:44.9

different kinds of creative skills over the years and crafts, I think this one is the latter

1:49.1

where it's like having perfect pitch. Why is that an F? I don't know. I just know it's an F.

1:54.4

Right. Why can I do Jordan Peterson? I kind of just can. And I can break it down after the fact,

2:00.0

but the initial sensibility is like a

2:03.2

light switch or a puzzle piece that for some reason, observing somebody, I can look into a

2:09.3

mirror, into a proverbial mirror imagination, a fake mirror of sorts in my mind. But instead of

2:15.9

seeing myself, I can see that person and contort.

2:18.9

Because a lot of impressions are also visual more than just what you hear.

2:22.6

It's the whole essence of a person.

2:24.6

So I can break that down.
