Almost Brian Kilmeade, hey I'm Jason Chief, it's I'm filling in for Brian today and

boy there's a few things talking about in the news and hey congratulations New York, Andrew

Cuomo is still your governor, I don't know how somebody resigns but you know he's still

the governor but hey congratulations to you all in New York, lots to talk about, we have

some fabulous guests coming up and I want to get right after it, not a whole lot of

introduction here, I want to get right after because we have Congressman Mike Gallagher,

the Republican from Wisconsin's 8th congressional district, Congressman thanks so much for joining us

this morning. Great to be with you Jason. Well first of all I want to thank you, thank you for

your service to our nation serving in the in the military but you also are on the on the

Armed Services Committee and you know there's a few things going on over in Afghanistan that

just a couple weeks ago maybe we wouldn't have said hey this is going to be the forefront of

what's going on on August 20th but here we are and it's a mess, it's an absolute cluster

but giving your military background, your service overseas, your perspective there in Congress,

what's your top line take on what's going down? Well I think this is ultimately a failure

of presidential leadership, I mean I suspect we'll learn more about the tactics and just the

operational problems with the withdrawal but the buck stops with the president and the fact that

president Biden has been so incompetent throughout this mess and after the country has collapsed,

after we have 15,000 Americans trapped behind enemy lines, no coherent plan for getting them out,

the president goes and addresses the nation and continues to blame everybody and take no

responsibility, blaming his predecessor president Trump, blaming the Afghan people,
