Good morning. It is Sunday, March the 29th. The final count is not in, but estimates show that more than 8 million people participated in one of the thousands of No King's events around the world yesterday.

According to organizers of the movement, that exceeds the turnout

for both of the previous two No King's protests, drawing out roughly one million more people

than the last one in October. Organizers also noted that more than 200,000 people came out

in St. Paul, Minnesota, the city chosen by organizers to host the flagship event this time around

because its Twin City, Minneapolis, was the primary target of Trump's brutal and violent immigration crackdown.

The rock legend Bruce Springsteen performed Streets of Minneapolis, a song he wrote earlier this year

in response to the killings of Renee Good and Alex Pretti, both citizens and both from Minneapolis, who were shot

dead by federal immigration agents.

Oh, Minneapolis, I hear your voice singing

through the bloody mist.

We'll take our stand for this land and the stranger in our midst.

Here at home they killed and roamed in the winter of 26.

There are also large turnouts in big cities like Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, and Austin

But there was also a sizable turnout in Chattanooga, Tennessee, a Republican district,

and a Republican-led state. People also marched in West Palm Beach, Florida, near Mar-a-Lago,

where Donald Trump spent the weekend golfing. The No King's movement has spread far and wide to

rural towns and densely populated cities and even as far north as the Arctic Circle.
