Boy, there is so much to catch up on that's been happening, well, it's just going on

right now.

I want to get into this topic of are we refighting the American Revolution and really it's the

Civil War II.

In both cases, in the Revolutionary War and the Civil War, on one side there were people

who believed in small D democracy, the idea of what was referred to by the founders as

a Republican government, small R Republican, in other words, they believed in, they believed

the government was legitimate when it was placed there by the consent of the governed,

a phrase from the Declaration of Independence.

I'm going to get into that, obviously the Republicans are opposed to that, I'm going

to get into that in just a minute, it'll be just you and me.

But Congressman Rokana will be with us taking your calls, so just hang on because he'll

be here.

But I wanted to start out with my rant that I published this morning over at HartmanReport.com,

which anybody could read anytime it's free, there are no ads or anything, and the headline

is America now on the verge of refighting the American Revolution.

Now headlines have to be short, so I really probably should have said refighting both

the Civil War and the American Revolution.

The point that I'm trying to make is that it's kind of a cute device to say that the

red hats we have today are like the red coats of the 1770s, but there actually are a lot

of parallels.
