March 23rd, 2015. Mare Island, Vallejo, California. Denise Huskins was kidnapped from her boyfriend’s home. Two days later her kidnapper released her in Huntington Beach, California near her father's residence. Local police doubted her story and called the kidnapping a hoax. Denise’s case has been called a real life “Gone Girl” kidnapping.
