And I'm Antonio Dodge. So last week on the show, or on the last episode,

we talked about this book that we've been reading

called American Nations.

And we started to unpack some of it for you,

and we realized that it was going along.

So we had to stop.

And this is gonna be part two. You probably

saw that in the title. This is part two of a short series we're doing, two-part

series, around this book, American Nations. And we'll give you a little background

around that in a second. But if you're a new listener and you

Because some of the stuff we talked about there is going to feed into what we talk about today. Yeah, well but just to give you a little reminder on what the

premise of the book is there's this give you

we originally were founded on people who had the same ideals and the same, you know, sense of what our goals in life are and we just got to get back to that united place.

We got to unite the country again. And Colin Woodard, who's the writer who

wrote American Nations, his argument is that we've actually never had that level of unity. We've always

been stratified between a lot of different cultures

that had very different agendas and end games.
