Dress listeners, I would like to ask each of you to ponder when the last time was

that you dawned to hat purely as a form of adornment.

You know, it's summer now, so many of us will throw on a baseball hat for a walk

or a jog outside, or while working in the garden, etc.

And many of us wear hats at the beach to shade our face from the sun.

But these rather practical applications of a hat isn't exactly what I'm asking you to think about today.

Rather, when was the last time you wore a hat as the icing on the cake in terms of your ensemble,

the proverbial cherry on top?

I did.

April is visiting.

We went to the fashion show at the 100th annual Indian Market in Santa Fe.

And I wore my green and black felt hat on top of my Karina Emmerick, Emmy Ensemble.
