1:01.9	fascinating because here we are oscillating between these dueling narratives of the right-wing
1:06.1	punditry, putting out, you know, racist, Islamophobic, anti-leftist news.
1:14.2	That's fear-based hyperbolic and a lot of times blatantly false.
1:18.8	But then you have the liberal wing of the establishment press putting out fake news with equal fervor, right?
1:21.0	Under the guise of intellectualism.
1:27.1	This is many times dangerous war propaganda, whether it be neo-McCarthiest accusations that every social movement and anti-imperialist
1:29.5	leftists are useful idiots for the Kremlin, or just the continued legitimization of capitalism
1:35.0	and imperialism. So given how much we hear the term fake news being thrown around today, can you
1:41.7	give us a definition of what you consider fake news and why you felt
1:45.7	it was important to put together what you call a people's account of its history?

1:54.2	So the book that we sought to write about fake news was one that focused on more useful definition.
