And boy, oh boy, do we have some topics today to go over?

We're going to spin our wheel as we do on some weeks when we don't have guests.

But the first stop that we have to get to was is the heat wave that is hitting various parts of the country.

We'll start with you in Virginia first.

I experienced the heat wave, which brought temperatures 15 degrees above normal for this time of year in New York,

with a soaring 102 degree temperature on Saturday in in New York that included

the humidity. So I mean, it's it is insane to me that we continue to fight about our warming climate, about like, reports.

It was somewhere in Pakistan was like 125 degrees.

Unlivable.

And I'm like that, like our bodies as humans can't take this. And yet we're still

in a place of debating reality that is happening in front of us. And I don't understand how we move

from the debate to the realities that people are facing. You know, when you think of Maine, you think of 90 degrees summers,

don't you, Danielle? And when you think of the northeast, you think of the weather that I experienced

in Karachi, Pakistan when I was there for a summer. And even in the suburbs of Virginia, I lost my air

conditioning unit on Saturday, where with the humidity, the temperature

around here right around 100 degrees. So our busted AC unit apparently just said, I'm done,

and just packed up. And that's probably how it sounded, did you? It's like, you don't pay me

enough. And like, you ever see that old Incredible Hulk series where Bruce Banner had like a hobo stick?

And like, it just across its shoulder.

He just walked away.
