passed a resolution saying bad people are mean and also mean people are bad. Can we now

go back to being the bad of mean people we always have been? Though the words and the

non-binding statement were anitined and pointless, the wending bizarre set of circumstances

that led up to them were foolish and exasperating.

Ilan Omar, freshman representative, phrased her criticism of Israel supporters in a way

that is a common trope of anti-Semites. This on the heels of a tweet that criticized

Israel supporters using a different trope that connotes anti-Semitism. And that came after

an old tweet was on earth where Omar criticized Israel using a trope that would be familiar

to anti-Semites. What have we learned?

Anti-Semitism has a lot of tropes because there's a lot of anti-Semitism. The world has been

practicing it for thousands of years. But if I were to really tell you what I think,
