And I'm Lauren Vogelbaum, and today we have an episode for you about the American Bison.

Was there any particular reason this was on your mind, Lauren?

Yeah, yep.

It has been on our list for forever.

I have been avoiding it for forever because it is a huge and deeply upsetting topic.

Yeah. But here, but why not? Why not spend a few days towards the end of this upsetting run, the upsetting end of this run.

The whole run was not upsetting. The whole run was delightful. Right. Yeah. You know, we had to, when we were figuring out

our last topics, there were some that we were like, this one really needs to be in there.

And this was one. Yeah. It's just really important and covers a lot of things that we've covered in various aspects on the show before, but just really distills in a number of ways, a bunch of things about American, well, in North American in general history.

And it's also a delicious food product that I love eating.

Yes. Yes. I don't think I have too much experience with it, but I know I've had a bison

burger. I know at least I have had a bison burger. and it was good. Oh, yeah. Yeah.

I've definitely had, yeah, bison burgers, a couple of bison steaks.

For a little while there, there was a Ted's Montana grill in Decatur Square, which is a local town center, one of many around Atlanta, which is composed of many really cool little neighborhoods.

And, yeah, for a minute, that was like a fancy place that my friends and I, who hung out

around that neighborhood, would go to be fancy.
