Hi John. So, to an interesting piece of data that I came across yesterday from Gallup

has encouraged us to want to devote this show not to endless rehashing of the, you know,

what's going to happen in the impeachment this week or, you know, the pages, interview or

anything like that. But the question of the, what the effect the culture we're in the United

States is having on attitudes about America. So Gallup has been polling for decades on the question

of how proud are you to be an American, extremely proud, very proud, moderately proud, only a

little proud or not at all proud. And so in the category of extremely proud to be Americans,

Republicans, Independents, and Democrats right now, 76% of Republicans say they are extremely

proud to be an American. The lowest point for Republicans in the last 20 years was 2013 when they

were at 71%. So even in the, you know, with the height of Republican depression at the re-election

of Barack Obama, they were still, you know, seven out of ten were extremely proud to be Americans.

The high water mark for Democrats, interestingly enough, was 2005. But so in 2013, Democrats, 56%
