It's an honor to talk to Carl Thomas.

He's the executive director of LiveFree Ministries and Triple-Xchurch.com and author of the book When Shame Gets Real.

Carl, good to talk to you, brother.

How are you?

I'm doing pretty good. How are you?

Good, ma'am. Really good.

So I used to be addicted to pornography, broke that since I got married.

So how many years I'm about? 13 years.

And then our kids are young.

They're all under the age of nine.

So I'm kind of in this gap here where I don't have my finger on the pulse of the problem at the moment, personally, like I used to directly.

And I'm not dealing with our kids yet.

What is the state of pornography and pornography addiction in America today?

Well, I mean, numbers vary dependent on which poll you go to or which source, but I mean, they haven't really changed that much over the past five, ten years, if you look at different polls, but they only do a poll once every five years. So, but the most recent numbers usually you see is one at every, one

out of every two guys, about 50% of men deal with some sort of compulsive sexual behavior,

specifically pornography use, women 35 to 40%, pastors, 35%.

But again, those numbers, they get updated every three, four years.

But it's a problem and it continues to get worse.
