I was invited in mid-November to participate in a debate at the Oxford Union.

It's one of the oldest free speech institutions in the world.

It was an honor and an incredible experience.

Now, when you watch the video, I'm wearing a tuxedo, not because I thought it was the right thing to wear,

but because the rules dictate that when you debate at the Oxford Union, it is informal attire. The proposition we were

rising for was to debate whether the United States was a failing democracy. You'll see my nine minutes where I make the case tragically that it was.

The truth is during the debate, and I wasn't surprised by this, a lot of the young people had a lot

of passion against America. I made the point that the shoddy anti-Americanism of so many, particularly young people, is understandable.

It's not new.

But that the failing of American democracy is nothing to cheer about.

It's a tragic hour.

And indeed, it has arrived.

It's the greatest democracy in the world failure in the third decade of the 21st century.

The answer to that question is yes.
