So I got to thinking about the love affair America has.

America has with victims. And it got me to think about why this is. Why is the left so

determined that victims be celebrated, honored, revered, rewarded, promoted, admired because

the victim is the opposite of the hero. A victim does not choose to be a victim. A legitimate

victim does not choose to be a victim. If they do, that's a martyr, but we're not talking about

martyrs. Come out victims, people who've been wronged. So why is the left so eager to celebrate

victims? And so I went thinking about this and I chanced upon a quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson. A hero

is no braver than an ordinary man, but he is brave five minutes longer. Do you know when I was in

second grade, there was a bring your dad to work day. And somebody's dad was a firefighter. And by

godly by the time he got to tell him the story about being a firefighter, every boy in our class

wanted to be a firefighter. There was a cop who's actually a sheriff's deputy. Everybody wanted to be

a sheriff's deputy. I don't know what you think about Marcus Latrell, but my kids think he's

the bees needs. He's it, man. He's a hero. You go to any recruiting station in America.

You watched the young men going in there to sign up. Daring tea, they watched a war movie.

They might have read Marcus Latrell's book. They might know of Audie Murphy. They have seen some

version of the hero warrior who is selfless and they too want to do that. Why? Why? Because we

can't help it. When we see something celebrated, we want to do that. If somebody gets rewarded for

a behavior, the rest of us want that reward as well. It's natural. If doing a certain thing,

wins you treasure, celebrity, praise, affection, applause, then you too will do that because you

want that same reaction. Why is it that Rachel Dole is all white woman who it turned out in

Spokane, Washington became the president of the NAACP. And she was, I mean, those white people

have been keeping us blacks down. They've been keeping us down in white devils. And it wasn't until
