There's a report that there are a lot of empty seats, particularly on the

Republican side. You've been sitting there, you've been watching. I didn't see that. I

think it was a two and a half hour opening very well done and for the most

part it is like 95% filled at any one time so I just didn't see that. A notable

number of centers not in their seats for long stretches has been reported and I

just wonder if you feel that the body is living up to the moment on both sides

of the aisle that there's the level of attentiveness and seriousness that

you'd like to see. We've had all members there for most of the time. There's been

various reports from some of the press you know who are in the pen mayor. You

know that some of the chairs or empty people are sort of in the back talking or

eating. Is everyone in that room paying attention? I certainly am and I'm taking

notes. I do think that most of my colleagues are doing that. Stunning utterly

stunning. The fake news industrial complex being caught peddling fake news

red handed. There's this theme that's been going around that who the GOP

senators aren't taking it seriously. They're not showing up for the impeachment

trial and there you go. CNN asked. Democrat senators including

Klobuchar, Shuma and Hirono and they just on this day at that moment couldn't

lie that much and said well actually everybody's here. Sorry you're wrong.

Ouch. Did you ever need more proof that fake news existed? I didn't. I'm
