So just to set it up for you 15 minutes from now, Al Michaels at 915, the goat, greatest of all time,

certainly in the conversation as the greatest play-by-play announcer of all time.

And I can confirm via conversation that in text conversation, still no veggies. No. And still no kitchen. Right. I got a freezer and fridge for the chops and the steaks and for who ever comes over and grills. So what rooms are the freezer and fridge live in? The garage, do you think? I think probably in a pantry. I'm going to going to say a pantry a pantry but doesn't a pantry have to come off a kitchen it could closet you know could i bet it's in a garage something tells me it's in a garage no that's a good point it's got to be in a garage i mean and he lives in l.a maybe it's outdoors or something. But like it's got to be in a garage.

If you don't have a kitchen, where do you put a fridge and freezer?

It's got to be a basement or a garage. And L.A. is not a big basement town. No, it's not. No, that's a good point. I'm going to guess that's in the garage, but also fairly hilarious. So looking forward to it, Al is the king.

I'm trying to think if you have a Mount Rushmore of play-by-play announcers.

Who Keith Jackson's up there for me because he was just the voice of my childhood college football and the number of Puyallabites, the Billy Joe Hobart's. And he just said, Billy Joe Hobart's so good. And, and, you know, coming back home after my first game that he did and just listening to him, say my name, you know, and obviously Damon and Pialup, where his daddy coached him. Like just, yeah, Keith Jackson's way up there. Musburger's way up there. And Al Michaels is way up there. Probably for you because of the pro background, I would say al's probably at the top of your

list number one uh i mean as a kid i just i absolutely loved uh every game with pat somerall and

john madden and pat summerall was so great and so understated but pat as much as i love pat

summer all he was not like a natural play-by-play guy who

kind of did it in everything right he was a he was a football player he was a former punner right

kicker punter and any event he he thought he was a kicker was a kicker paul mcoyer was a punter

paul was definitely a punter maybe yeah maybe right i think he was a kicker but whatever i mean

he came from the football world and And so that's a little different. Yeah, Musburger was, I'll tell you, I think Joe Buck is on the list. I think Joe has turned himself into one of the all-time greats, just with his ability to call different sports. And again, make the moment seem big big that's what all those guys have in common

right whether you're talking about keith jackson or brent musburger jim nance got to be on the when they

call a game it just feels huge and that has always been the case for al michael so he's on the call

on thursday night maybe not a huge game it's a week four matchup between the Seahawks and Cardinals.

But everything does feel a little bit bigger with Al on the call. And yeah, looking forward to that. We'll talk to him coming up here in about 10 minutes. It's mostly been a Mariner Day, though. And Al certainly called some baseball in his career. He's called everything. We've talked to him about it before.
