Summary

Jeff Hoffman was born and raised in Arizona to a single mom with three jobs and four kids. According to Jeff, he and his siblings never felt like they were struggling financially, he credits his mom tremendously for that. He wanted to study artificial intelligence and always dreamed of attending Yale University. When he arrived after being accepted, he was told that he couldn’t attend classes because he hadn’t paid all of the required tuition. Instead of returning home to where things were safer and easier, he decided to move into the basement of Yale. Jeff started a software company, the profits of which he used to pay his tuition. He graduated Yale University and ended up with a “real” job that lasted a couple of years until he had a conversation with his then boss one day. That completely opened his eyes as to what the company considered employee success. His boss shared with him what he needed to do to earn them a promotion with the firm. It didn’t make sense to Jeff at all so he resigned and pursued his career as an entrepreneur. Jeff’s first company was manufacturing ticketing kiosks for the airlines to be utilized at airports. He shares with us that he learned a ton about how to encourage airlines to take a look at his product. He also emphasizes for us how important it is to discover what the company’s needs are and how to make it work for them. Jeff also went on to co-found priceline.com and ubid.com. After achieving amazing success in business, Jeff is traveling the world speaking, teaching, advising, coaching and inspiring everyone he comes in contact with. Dedicating his life to helping the younger generation succeed!
