near San Francisco and is called Silicon Valley. In this fantastic part of the world,

making life a little more magical for everyone. Let's travel back in time when Silicon Valley

was not as famous as it is today. In the early days, the valley was mostly quiet farmland,

full of orange trees and orchards. Can you picture wide fields of trees that

stretched as far as the eye can see? These sweet oranges were once what made the area famous,

but in the 1930s something exciting began to happen. People started to get interested in technology

and inventions. One important person who played a big

role in shaping Silicon Valley was named Frederick Tairman. He worked at Stanford University and

encouraged his students to start their own companies. He believed their ideas could change the world,

and he wanted to help them make this happen. So in the 1950s, with Termin's support,

some of his students formed a company called Hewlett-Packard, or HP for short.
