All right I want you turn your Bibles to Hebrews chapter six and it's the only

passage I'm going to ask you to turn to but we will look at different passages

in Hebrews chapter six through ten actually. But Hebrew chapter 6, we're in a series called

Amazing Grace. And this week the title of the message is Amazing Immutability. Amazing Immutability. Now you might have to

look at it to spell it because it's probably not a word that you use last week.

You probably did not say that was one of the most immutable meetings

I've ever been in.

You know, I don't know.

But the word immutability actually refers to the unchangeableness

when you put a T Y on the end,

unchangeableness of God.

Immutable means unchangeable, impossible to change.

There's another word you're probably more familiar with

and that would be mutation or mutating, changing.

If you're a parent you might be familiar with teenage mutant ninja turtles.

Okay, these are turtles that mutated into ninjas. You see they changed, okay? So that's the word mutant. It's something

that can change. mutation. So immutability is the inability to change.

And I want you to know this,

this is actually a good thing, God cannot change.

It can't change because he's perfect, He has no need to change. Let me read you a few

scriptures before we get to Hebrew six. Just a few that that we base the

theology of the immutability of God on the attribute, this attribute of God.
