More often than not, there's a law enforcement officer moonlighting in the passenger seat,

guiding the teenagers, teaching them the ends and

outs and intricacies of driving a car on South Carolina roads. The

off-duty cops have one goal to put safe drivers on the road.

The teenagers have a goal too.

Freedom.

Freedom to Rome.

Freedom to go places without somebody constantly watching them, freedom at 15 years old.

Or freedom as they understand it.

Nearly all of them having no reason to know when they were born.

There was a man who had no freedom to Rome.

No freedom to go anywhere without somebody watching him.
