In Surah Kav Ayatu, Allah uses the word Ajib, and in Suras Saad, he uses the word Ujab.

Why is this strange in one ayah and totally strange in another when the story is the same?

Doesn't it change what the pagan said?

This is a literary feature of the Quran that is, to me, quite baffling actually, because

you have a suras of the Quran that are revealed at different times they're far apart from each

other even in terms of location the two suras I'm going to compare with you is

saad which is in the 30s and kaff which is surer number 50 so they're just

decently apart from each other and you find sometimes that there are ayas in

these suras that are very similar to one another but there are some textual

differences so he'll say the same thing but actually more

accurately he'll say almost the same thing right so in Surat

Qafi says but Ijibu an jahs muonur minhoun in home

faqal al kaffirunah that's she un'ajib rather they are they find it strange that a warner came to them from among
