Ustad, Surah Al-Anam, Aya 78, and Surah al-Zhruf, via 26.

Both these suras mentioned how Prophet Ibrahim al-Salam disassociated himself from idol worshipping.

But in Surah Al-Anam, he says,

Inni-Bariun, whereas in Surah al-Zhuluf he says,

In translation, both mean the same, but from what I studied, one is supposed to be a noun and one an adjective.

So I don't understand its usage here. Can you please clarify the difference? Thanks in advance. Mariam.

There are two ayat. They are very similar. One's in Surut al-Anam, the sixth Sura, and the other one is Surtu Zhruh.

And here, in both of them, you find a very similar statement of the Prophet Ibrahim

Al-Isalam, I'll give you the Arabic and I'll translate them roughly the same way.

I am absolved, I have nothing to do with the shirk, the associations with Allah that you make,

the blasphemy that you do.

So he's talking about how he's disassociated completely from.

And this associated is a good word, but I am disassociated from what you do,

from the shirk that you do, from the blasphemy that you do.

Okay.

The other surah also, Inneni baraum m'ma ta'abudun.

No doubt I am absolutely absolved or I am completely disassociated from what you worship.

Mata abudun.
