began with Italy locking down the epicenter of its coronavirus outbreak and

16 million people and it was the west most dramatic move yet.

But by the end of this week all of Italy 60 million people are under quarantine and President

Trump had banned all travel from Europe into the United States

for the next 30 days starting at midnight Friday.

This is the most aggressive and comprehensive effort to confront a foreign virus in modern history.

To keep new cases from entering our shores, we will be suspending all travel from Europe to the United

States for the next 30 days.
