Hi podcast listeners today I'm excited to be joined by the very approachable new wave Icelandic prime minister.

Her name is Katrin Yacobz dottir and she's going to tell me what exactly that means.

You may remember her Arctic nation

from that volcanic eruption nearly a decade ago,

which caused air traffic to stop in its tracks,

practically all over the world, and a financial crisis that brought

Iceland to its needs. Well it's recovered now and she's trying to make Iceland a leader in climate

change and gender equality.

Then the tables are turned when Craig Ferguson joins me.

He's the former late-late show host.

Now we all remember Iceland and the famous unpronounceable volcano whose eruption brought all of

Europe and much of the world's airspace to a standstill. That was a decade ago.

And of course the financial crisis of 2007 that brought Iceland itself to its knees.

Since then however this tiny nation in the North Atlantic has bounced back and holds big

ambitions like becoming carbon neutral by 2040 and
