The virus has so far caused nearly a quarter million infections and nearly 10,000 deaths worldwide.

It is laying bare how fragile we all are, despite all our technology, military and economic might.

In Italy, the world's most affected country outside China

to prevent the virus spreading, people aren't allowed traditional burial or funeral services,

and that's forcing survivors to

mourn alone at a time when they need to share more than ever.

Around the world religious services are being canceled and places of worship closed.
