Summary

On May 8, 2019, 35-year-old physical therapist and yoga teacher, Amanda Eller, set off on what she thought would be a hike along a trail in the Makawao Forest Reserve, Hawaii. Part way through the hike, she realised she had become disoriented and lost. Without a cell phone, water bottle, map, or any supplies, she fought to survive in the wilderness, with only intuition to guide her. She was rescued 17 days later, injured, but alive. However, her spiritual take on her experience left many questioning her actions and intentions.
