We were invited by the great people at New England Dairy to this dinner with a bunch of dairy farmers.

So we walk into this room, about 100 dairy farmers, and we sit at a table where no one's sitting.

And we just assume, okay, well, I guess someone's going to sit with us.

And wouldn't you know it, a woman named Amanda Freund sat right next to you at the table.

We talked to Amanda for probably more than two hours that night.

Yeah, it really is me. And I look forward to being able to continue the joy of your company. So a good friend of ours has a compost pile. And I was walking past it one day with him, and I noticed he had a plastic cup in the compost pile and I asked him

about it I said why is that on the compost pile and he said oh that's a joke to myself every time

I walked past it I bought this plastic cup with a fast food order and they told me it was biodegradable

and it's been there for five years and it looks exactly the same as the day that I

bought it. It's terrible. So what does this have to do with Amanda? Amanda is a part of a company

called cow pots. And what you do, Amanda, is you take the cow manure from your dairy farm

and you turn it into plant potters. and i was right there so fascinated by this

because to me this sounds like a brilliant idea rather than all these plastic plant potters that you

see anytime you go to any garden shop or whatever they're always in plastic so cow pots is actually

cow crap turned into what looks like a cardboard

planter. And then when someone buys a plant, they put it in the ground and it dissolves.

And it's like the plant potter was never there. You can put the whole thing in the ground. Yeah,

it's great for the plant. It's great for the soil. All around, it makes so much more sense than constantly selling
