The Michael Berry Show is on the air. I do realize some people are uncomfortable questioning or criticizing.

Why can't we just be nice? Why can't we just take what we're given? Why can't we just accept that everybody's good

at what they do and they're all doing the best they can do. This is what an enabling mother of a drug addict says. This is not

how you have a great organization. It's just not how you achieve success.

You have to embrace discomfort in order to be excellent.

That's just the way it is. Sports fans really struggle when their

favorite player is released from the team. O.J. Simpson from the Buffalo Bills. Joe Montana being sort of

of forced out in San Francisco to make room for Steve Young in Montana.

ended up having a couple good years in Kansas City,

but nobody doubts it was a right move.

Aaron Rogers ascension to accommodate him they had to let Farv Go and it was hard to

watch Farv Go places and if not play extraordinarily well, then light things up and make it interesting in Minnesota with the jets.

But you have to embrace this discomfort, and I've said this all along, and this is what some people don't understand,

if you've never managed people, whether that's coaching people, supervising people, parenting children,

it cannot all be fun and games.

There has to be some discomfort. If there is not some

discomfort, then you have not instituted discipline and systems and accountability.

Because guess what?

There should be fear of failure.
