I received a nice message from Dan Simons that during the first part of our

conversation he received online on his website $3,500 in contributions from various people.

I don't know if we just don't teach the English language in our schools, but I've received probably

50 emails.

40 to 50 emails would be my guess.

I get pretty good at scanning the screen

and seeing how many on that subject alone.

And they spell his last name, S-I-M-M-O-N-S, which is interestingly how Gene Simmons

pronounces his name.

So if you spelled it S-I-M-A-N-E-N-S-E-G-M-M-O-N-S, the second M would suggest the vowel before it would be short.

So instead of Simons, the second M would make it Simmons.

Since this man I referred to repeatedly as Simons, I'm not sure why someone would still spell it S-I-M-O-N-S because that would mean

Gene Simmons and Dan Simons would spell their name exactly the same when in fact we use the letters to make the

sounds. So it is S-I-M-O-N-S. And I say that because people are emailing me and saying, I can't find Dan Simmons on air. I can't find him. I'm searching everywhere. And I send back and say, try this. S-I-M-O-Y is. Okay, I'm not sure we're going to solve the problems of the nation, but at least we can get long vowel and short vowel double consonant

successors at least we can learn that lesson if Miss Juanita Perry in eighth

grade taught me one thing.

So Miss Perry was my eighth grade English teacher.

As you can imagine, the nerd in me loves English.

Loves it, loved history, loved English, loved math, love science, but I guess

depending on the day and the teacher English I love English I love the literature side to me English is is art and it science is right brain and its left brain.
